
If you love the tanginess of tomato and the earthiness of mushrooms, then get this delicious tomato and mushroom pasta sauce on the menu this week! If you have fresh tomatoes from the garden, great! Use them. But when I put this sauce together for the first time, I used some store-bought grape tomatoes that were...let's say...a tad past their prime. Using fresh ingredients is the golden rule; but in many cases, making sauce from scratch is a great way to use up produce that’s either entering or has nearly passed through its mid-life crisis.
